Project Goal:
The team of Urban Design Perspectives, led by Alicia Belton AIA, and Charles Levin Architects has been awarded the architectural design contract for the University of Minnesota's $2.9 million Urban Research and Outreach Center (UROC). The project is a 21,000 square foot remodeling of a 1970's strip shopping center located on Plymouth Avenue east of the intersection with Penn Ave. N. Other design team members are; Close Landscape Architecture, BCG Structural Engineers, Martin Pevsner Mechanical Engineers, Wunderlich Malec Electrical Engineers, Rani Civil Engineers and public artist Seitu Jones. Design work on the project will begin immediately with occupancy planned for early 2009.

Project Status:
Currently in the Schematic Design.
